Windows 7 sa oplatí inštalovať na starších strojoch s RAm 4GB a nižšou vo verzii 32 bit (32bit môže pracovať najviac s cca 3.5 GB ram, ale vzhľadom na to že tie staršie mašiny majú integrovanú grafiku, ktorá využíva RAM ako pam§ť a aj to, že 32bit programy zaberajú menej operačnej pamôti, je 32bit na 4GB RAM najlepšia voľba)
